Post-Arrival guidance

When you arrive at University:
- Call your family to confirm that you have arrived
- Get international student clearance from the university
- Register with the local police (if required)
- Collect your ID card
- Complete online registration on the student portal website
- Open a bank accountwith a local bank which has a branch on-campus
- Register with a doctor/health Centre
- Attend academic induction session at your college
- Attend international sessions during the orientation week
Once you have arrived in your study abroad destination, there are several steps you should take to ensure a successful experience.
Orientation: All students should attend an orientation session, either led by the university or a program provider, to get acquainted with the new environment. Orientation will provide useful information about the university, the city or country, and the culture.

Connect with Others: Make connections with other students and locals, either through your university or other activities. This will help you to feel more comfortable in your new environment.
Register with Local Authorities: Make sure you register with the local authorities if necessary. This will ensure that you are legally allowed to stay in the country.
Stay Safe: Familiarize yourself with the local laws and safety regulations. Know where to go if you ever need help.
